On Saturday (June 16), Zayn Malik was spotted showing off a brand-new tattoo when the stars of One Direction performed “Up all night” at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.
The dark haired heartthrob had a life-sized design of a traditional stage microphone tattooed onto his right forearm with the mic's wire wrapping around his wrist. Zayn seemed very pleased as he posted a picture on twitter.
However, the rest of One Direction including Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan were not so impressed and mocked him on stage. They poked fun at Zayn by lining their own working microphones up with their forearms to replicate Zayn Malik’s new body art.

In fact, Malik is no stranger to body modification as he already has several other smaller designs on his body such as his grandfather's name written in Arabic on his chest, a silver fern (the national symbol of New Zealand), the Japanese symbol for “born lucky” on his hip, the yin and yang symbol on his wrist, and a symbol tattooed etched onto his left collarbone that he told his twitter followers means “be true to who you are.”
In other news, Zayn Malik was pictured arriving into LAX airport in Los Angeles ready to fly back to England (June 18, 2012). Because of the One Direction’s next show on this Saturday (23rd June) in Dallas, Texas, Zayn’s return to London is expected to be a short trip.
