Valentines day is closing in and it is one of the few days in the year that attract a lot of media attention. It is a day where all types of relationships are on the spotlight.
People all over the world pick out various valentines gifts for their valentines and take them out for a romantic dinner or movie.
In as much as it is perceived as a day of love relationships however, it is also a day where i think other types of relationships such as family relationships and work relationships should also be celebrated.
Valentines day also brings about its own mishaps. Various relationships suffer a strain on his day because either a partner in the relationship forgot to by a valentines gift or the gift picked out, was not what the other person was expecting. This is why i do not like placing such high stakes on this day, especially in love relationships.
It is a day that people should make love and not war and keep the fire burning throughout the year, not just during the specific day. If you have not been practising what i am talking about, you can make it part of your new years resolution this year.
It does not matter if you have work relationships, family relationships, or friend relationships. This can be applied to any one of those types and work effectively. I know some of you may loathe your Bosses at work, but in trying to make relationships work, you could also solve the various problems you encounter in the process.
