The live-action/CG-animated movie "The Smurfs"will be first set for release in 3-D by the Columbia Pictures'/Sony Pictures Animation on July 29, 2011. This hybrid animated family comedy "The Smurfs", directed by Raja Gosnell, produced by Jordan Kerner, is based on the Characters and Works of Peyo and story by J. David Stem & David N. Weiss. The Smurfs Movie is about little blue characters chased out of the village by the evil wizard Gargamel. Thanks to the magical portal, these Smurfs jump into the world in real time. They land in the middle of New York’s Central Park.

The upcoming live-action/animated movie called "The Smurfs" is produced by Sony Pictures Animation and The Kerner Entertainment Company. It will be the first movie in the series to see in 3-D.

Smurfette (by Katy Perry) will replay the famous “skirt blowing” scene of legendary actress Marilyn Monroe.
