Are you working on surviving the affair that your spouse had? Maybe you just found out or maybe it was a while ago but you are still in so much pain. Healing from affairs is one of the hardest things you will ever have to go through and it's not an easy road to travel. Many people can't handle the pain and devastation and they end up divorcing thinking that this will cause their pain to go away.

Most cases this isn't so. Surviving the affair your spouse had doesn't include running away from it. If you want to truly heal, the best way to go about it is head on and work your way through the pain so you can come out the other side truly healed. If you don't do this, you will be locked in your pain, anger, resentment and bitterness for the rest of your life. Even if you stay married, if you don't work through your pain there will be no healing and your marriage will never get any better than it is now and in most cases it will become worse.

For those surviving the affair their spouse had you need to find a good support system so that you can freely talk about what has happened and what is happening in your marriage right now. The more you talk about it the better because you don't want to keep those feelings buried inside of you. If you spouse is willing to talk about the affair with you and you are willing to NOT explode in anger then this would be even better. Maybe you can talk about it with your spouse in the counselor's office where it's a safe place for both of you.

Using daily devotions when working on surviving the affair your spouse had will help you personally heal from their affair faster. Getting into God's Word and spending face time with Him will help you immensely because you will be receiving God's comfort, peace and love while you are struggling over your spouse's affair. When you use daily devotions, you will be able to process your feelings and work through your pain all with God's loving arms around you. He will guide you in the direction you are to go, all you need to do is get quiet and listen for his voice and go the way He directs you to go.
