This is to make the person know that it is him or her that you are flirting with and not someone else. Looking at the person also says that you are genuinely interested with the person.

When you are talking to the person you are flirting with it is good to whisper. Talk to them as softly as you can. As if you are telling the person a secret that you would not want the person seated next to you to hear. This way you will get some attention from them. Once you get their attention maintain it at that. If you have to, compliment the person in a whisper or talk about nothing important as you continue to whisper. However, make sure you have a clean nice breath. You do not want the person to lean in to listen to what you have to say only for them to get back quickly and excuse themselves from your table.

It is hard for someone to approach a person who is seated in a group than to approach someone who is sitting alone. So if you are a man do not sit with a group of men and if you are a woman do not sit with a group of women either. When you are flirting do not be too aggressive. This is because you will push the person further away from you. Be polite, and ask someone nicely. Also look out for faces that are approachable. Do not go talking to someone you can clearly see he or she is pissed off and seems not to want to talk to anyone. This way, you will be sure of scoring when you flirt with someone who is approachable.

Look at the person in a nice way as if to approve of the way they look or dressed and then give them a smile. This way, you will encourage the person to even come close to you and talk to you. When you go to talk to them they will receive you in a warm way. A smile warms up a way to a person's heart. Every time you smile you also look good and if they had not noticed you look pretty or handsome before, a smile will fix it immediately.
