When a relationship grinds to a halt and you feel you are not the one who was responsible for the ending, getting over the mate could bring about difficult times for you, especially if you and your mate have been together for a considerable amount of time.

If the relationship was short term, lets say 3 to 6 months, then the break-up would generally not be too challenging, on the other hand if the relationship took place over a time period of a few years then this could be a heart wrenching time.

There are a few ways to starting the process of how to get over someone fast so you can alleviate the associated break-up stress and get on living the good life.

Let's get started.

Go from room to room in your abode and look for all the items that you associate with and your ex. Maybe the photographs hanging on the walls, or some paintings that you purchased while you were traveling together in a foreign land. Take inventory which items bring back memories of your ex and remove them. Put them into boxes and store them out of the way so you don't keep seeing them in your everyday living quarters.

Of course if you selected large items of furniture together then putting these items into a storage area would not be practical just be sure to select the items that have particularly strong connections to your ex.

This is the start of How To Get Over Someone Fast.

Now it's time to take a seat with a pen and paper and list all the bad qualities associated with your ex. Put them all down whether it be the use of bad language, their laziness, them not helping with everyday chores, too much partying with friends, smoking, drinking etc. try to list all the things about their lifestyle that irks you. This will probably be a pretty long list because we are all different individuals and have different ways of going about our lives.

When you have finished you will probably feel a lot better about the relationship break-up and this could be the stepping stone for you to start dating again.

Maybe you feel it is too early after the break-up and you are not ready yet, however, I'm not suggesting that you need to pour your emotions into the new person, simply go out and have fun. Dating a couple of times a week and getting together with your friends and relatives will certainly overcome the problem associated with feeling sorry for yourself.
