The Hunger Games actor Josh Hutcherson has won his first ever MTV Movie Award. Though he was up against some stiff competition, the 19-year-old actor beat out Ryan Gosling, Daniel Radcliffe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Channing Tatum to win the Best Male Performance award for his performance as Peeta in ‘The Hunger Games.’
Hutcherson accepted the award from the stars of ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ including ‘Harry Potter’ actress Emma Watson. The former child star seemed truly appreciative of the award. "Oh, my god. I've wanted to hold a Golden Popcorn since I was like 4 years old. This is incredible," he said. "It's insane too, because every single one of those actors I admire and I want to be, so to even be up here is blowing my mind right now." The charming actor additionally thanked his fans and author Suzanne Collins for creating the franchise.
