If you suspect that someone from work or one of his friends is the culprit behind your spouse's lying, then an unannounced trip is what may show you what you need to see. Normally, someone who lies to a spouse plans their every move. If something unexpected comes up, then whatever they planned will be wrecked.
Check the mileage on their car - Look at their mileage because this will show if they have been going somewhere else. What you can do is to use a car and track the normal mileage to and from where they work. Compare it to the actual mileage they are taking daily. If it shows that they have too much mileage then that means they are taking a detour somewhere they are not telling you.
