After Hurricane Katrina hit Brad Pitt’s adopted hometown New Orleans, the Hollywood actor had set up the Make It Right Foundation to raise more funds for constructing 150 green, affordable homes in Lower Ninth Ward, which was struck most severely by the storm.
The Make It Right was dubbed by the U.S. Green Building Council as the world’s greenest community of single-family homes thanks to energy efficiency and sustainability of the houses.
