Los Angeles Galaxy star David Beckham is front and center as the cover boy of the September 2012 issue of British Esquire magazine. Becks has his fingers in a lot of pies - he's a footballer, a model, a father, a husband, an advocate for the Olympics. Undoubtedly he's the most famous English footballer.
The 37-year-old midfielder found time to have an interview and photo shoot with Esquire magazine for their September issue, which was out on Thursday (August 2). Photographed by Josh Olins, the player looked ever-so-handsome in a white t-shirt, jeans and checkered buttondown flannel. The father-of-four said what you saw was what you got with him, even when he’s stripped down to just his boxer- briefs. ”'What you see, that’s me”, Becks told the magazine. “And that won’t change. I might not walk around in just my underwear every day, but that’s the only thing. I don’t try and hide anything. There’s nothing to hide.”
During the interview with Esquire magazine, the soccer star discussed everything from daily life to his friendship with the royals. Becks expressed his worry that Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, three sons he has with Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer wife Victoria, would be under pressure to follow in the footsteps of their sports star dad. "There's a lot of pressure on them. They go for try-outs and people automatically think David Beckham’s son is going to bend the ball in the top corner at the age of six.”, the LA Galaxy star said. However, despite his own concern, he added: "They're very confident kids. They take it in their stride."

Speaking about being friends with the royals, Prince William and Prince Harry, Becks shared: “It’s a very normal relationship. With Harry as well. They’re very easy to get along with.” The footballer was spotted joining with them at a host of charity events, and even attended Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding with wife Victoria Beckham last year. It's thought David Beckham first became close to the princes as they campaigned for London to hold the World Cup back in 2012.
