If you are going to be the host of a bridal shower, there are a number of games you can choose from. A few games are serious, while a few are silly, but all involve a lot of fun along with the bride prior to her wedding.

One of the games involves putting the bride into a spot with regards to how much she knows about her to-be husband's life. Before the party starts, somebody should ask the groom questions like what is his favorite food, where is his birthplace and other such questions. Then, at the shower, the bride should be made to answer all these questions. It will be a lot of fun to see how many questions she answers correctly, and at the end, give her a gift as she deserves this.

Toilet paper wedding dress is one of the most popular games that people play during bridal showers. This involves separating all the guests into teams of 2 to 5 people. Each team should be given a roll or two of toilet paper and they should be made to design a wedding dress from the toilet paper available. One team member needs to model. They should be provided a dress up trunk full of shoes and jewelry. The dress needs to be necessarily made out of toilet paper, but they can use a range of accessories such as gloves, hats, shoes and jewelry. Give a time limit to the teams, at the most five minutes. The bride gets to judge the best dress. Make sure to give prizes to the team that wins.

Another game that is a great hit at bridal showers is getting the bride dressed blindfolded. The bride needs to pretend that there is a power shut down when she is on her honeymoon. Therefore, she needs to get dressed for the wedding night in complete darkness. She will be give a certain amount of time (usually two minutes) to get dressed while she is completely blindfolded and no guest is allowed to help. You can make it more fun by including silly items such as garden gloves, flannel nightgown, or oversized sunglasses. You must make sure to capture all this in a photo so make sure somebody is ready with a camera.

Another game involves putting all the wedding shower guests on the spot rather than the bride. In the game, all the guests have to put their purses at a point in the center of the room. A list of common items found in a purse is made, a point value is assigned to each item, with the higher point value given to the least common items. For instance, 2 points for lipstick, 3 for tampons and 5 for sunglasses. Then somebody will go through all the purses and award points to each purse. The person who has the highest points, that is, whose purse has the most number of unique items, gets a prize.

You can also have a bingo game in the shower, that you can prepare for before the shower begins. Put pictures of gifts that the bride might receive in the squares. The boxes will include items like towels, lingerie, and other things. As the bride opens each gift, the guests will mark out the items on their bingo cards. The person with maximum number of cards that have been marked off wins the prize.

Hosting a bridal shower is never easy, but it can be a lot of fun if you get it right.
