About a year ago one of my best friends got married and their wedding was spectacular. They wanted a cheap wedding on the beach, which was not too far away to plan from home (Washington, DC). They got in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, married on the East Coast. Their ceremony was at the beach and had their reception at a beach house overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It was an amazing evening, but the best part is that it saves a lot of money. It was only some careful planning.

The invitations
The bride has her own invitations. She ordered the paper and envelopes online. Then design and print everything ourselves. The invitations were made on the beach and theme nights out, great. The Venue

The Wedding Ceremony
The couple had their ceremony on the beach in front of the beach house they had rented. The bride's brother, an accomplished guitarist, played the wedding music on his acoustic guitar. The Wedding Reception

When the guests came back into the house, they were seated and served a spectacular meal of fresh seafood and local specialties.
After dinner, all got together on a large terrace overlooking the sea, where a dance play iPod music through loudspeakers. Everyone was dancing and having a great time. No one seemed to miss the DJ. Instead of a bartender, the couple had just returned from coolersBeer and let people mix their own drinks.
