After an earthquake, it is always followed by more disasters such as landslides, volcano eruption and the most frequent one now is tsunami. When an earthquake happen, it trigger the ground to shake so vigorously that causes the base of the mountains to move and if there are snow or rocks on this mountains, they will all start to crake and slide down the mountain. This is also known as landslides. Can we prevent earthquakes? As a matter of fact, we can. Most of these disasters are caused by people when they are doing their nuclear experiments. It is during this kind of experiment; they trigger and move the ground and this lead to other disasters.

Another aftermath of an earthquake is the debris that flow in the river, it collects and it starts to build into big round rocks or boulders and starts to follow the flow of the water. As it flows, it gathers more and more debris and eventually becomes a big rock and crashed to a village or buildings or houses.

The above explanation is what happens on ground. While these disasters are going on at the ground area, underneath the ground, water has started to build and moves other part of the water in the sea. This will then trigger the ocean and create huge waves. These waves will grow and grow and become real huge and high and eventually moves towards the coastal area and hit the shores. Some of these waves can go as high as 100 feet high. These big tidal waves can sweep everything away from the shore. Humans, buildings made of bricks, animals, trees and leave nothing behind. If it comes in as a high waves, many people will be dragged into the sea and most of them don't make it back to the shore.

Earthquake are measured in several category; the light, the average, the heavy and the massive earthquake. When a light earthquake happens, this can only be felt up to those living on the upper floors. The average earthquake can be felt by most people on high buildings or in their car. As when there's a heavy earthquake, you can see big heavy furniture's, buildings overturn, ground starts to crack, some ground starts to open, pipes burst, water shooting from all the hydrant at the road side, big stable buildings collapse and many people will be hurt.

The most recent earthquake that happens at Chile was a heavy earthquake where 500,000 houses destroyed, numbers of people still missing, lots of dead and building damaged. This Chiles earthquake has damaged the electricity, water supply to the other parts of that area too. Due to this havoc, people are stealing food, clothes, water, and medicine from each other.
